How to Calculate Tiles

Calculate total area (length × width). Convert tile size to square feet, divide total area by tile area, then add 10% for waste automatically.

Example

A 12 × 10 ft room using 12×12 inch tiles requires about 120 tiles. Including the 10% waste automatically brings total to about 132 tiles.
